The Designers

Poppies’ floral designers will work with you to bring your ideas to life. Manager Andrea Walker is a third-generation florist originally from London, Ontario with over twenty-five years of experience and hundreds of weddings to her credit. She has been creating beautiful weddings in Victoria since 2006. She has several experienced designers assisting her.

 Bouquets

All prices will reflect the varieties of flowers and foliages selected for each unique bouquet.  For budgeting purposes, a range of price possibilities has been suggested.  We have no minimum; we can suggest looks that will suit everyone’s needs...from classic simplicity to elegant extravagance. Any variety of flowers can be used to reflect your personal style and colour preference. We create hand-tied nosegays, arm bouquets, traditional or contemporary cascades, or interesting and unusual freestyle bouquets. Collect inspiration photos to help us realize your vision, or we can come up with a unique style just for you.

 Vases of all sizes and descriptions from $2 each, from $7.50 for mercury glass

Pedestal rental (3 styles) $25 each, Urn rental $20 each

Arch rental (two styles): $100. Add $100- $400 decorated with flowers/ greenery

If you are planning on doing some of the work yourself, ask us about our BULK FLOWER pricing. For 10 stems or more of each variety of flowers, we allow up to 35% off our regular retail pricing. Ask for details!

What to bring to a consultation…

Flowers are usually discussed and ordered once a venue has been booked and dress colors have been chosen. It is ideal to do some research before hand to have an idea of what you like. Colour samples and photos are very helpful during a consultation.

How far in advance should I talk to my florist?

Depending on the scale and the scope of the order, we may need to talk to you 3- 6 months ahead of your wedding date. This will allow us to reserve our rental equipment and our van if you require installation of the florals at the venue.

If you do not require rental items or our installation service, you can wait to place your order to closer to the wedding date. That being said, some dates are popular and limit our availability. If you are "last minute" you will want to check in with the shop regarding our availability. If possible, we prefer at least 2 weeks notice to ensure our flower purchasing for any specific items.
